Feasibility Studies: Quantalux staff regularly conduct in-depth feasibility studies to assess the viability of anaerobic digester projects. Our experience with biogas production, equipment, operations and revenue gives our clients the critical data they need to make sound investment decisions.  Customers include investment groups and financial institutions seeking to finance the construction/purchase of large anaerobic digester facilities at farms and municipalities. More recently, our team has been focused on developing strategies to maximize the potential revenue from renewable natural gas production (RNG) targeted towards Federal and California credits (RINs and/or LCFS, resp.)  These assessments leverage a suite of in-house computer models that use data on operations, maintenance and available feedstocks to help facility owners balance the desire for maximum revenue with the need for stable digester operation .

Co-Feedstock Analysis:  Our team has also developed a suite of detailed databases and models to calculate the optimum recipes when digesting different co-feedstocks such as dairy manure, food waste, brewery waste, greases and other industrial organic wastes. Our goal is to help our customers maximize their biogas production while assuring process stability.

To make sure we have the most up-to-date information on different feedstocks, we frequently partner with BioWorks Energy when evaluating wastewater systems, and with the Anaerobic Digester Research and Education Center at Michigan State University for animal manure systems (primarily dairy and swine).   Our combined expertise in organic co-feedstocks helps our customers maximize revenue when processing  a wide range of organic waste materials.

Prototyping and Testing: Quantalux  is experienced with designing and testing innovative technology for anaerobic digester systems. Our team starts with an initial design concept, builds a prototype and conducts pilot-scale testing to assess performance. After the prototype has been validated using lab- and field-based testing, Quantalux works with its partners to market the technology.
